Hi everyone! If you are in the US, I want to kick this post off by wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving! I’ve got some easy, last minute Thanksgiving decoration ideas to dress up your table to get ready for the holiday. If you’re outside the US, feel free to apply these ideas to upcoming holiday’s events that you are hosting.
For these projects, I used the papers and cards from the Grace collection. The colors and sentiments align perfectly for the atmosphere I want to create.
1. Enlarge and Frame Your Favorite Card
As soon as I saw this quote, I knew I had to frame it. I simply enlarged the 3×4 card to 5×7 and included it into an empty frame I had lying around. Once we start serving food, I’ll move this to a nearby shelf, but I think it makes the table inviting before we eat.
2. Create Name Cards Using a 3×4 Card
There is something about adding name cards that add an extra sophistication to the table. If you are entertaining many people, these cards take the confusion of finding a seat for your guest. Even if you are only having a handful of people attend, it is still a nice accessory to add. To create, just add a name to the white space on a 3×4 card and fold in half.
3. Wrap Patterned Paper Around Napkins
Printing out some patterned paper and slicing it into strips (mine are 1.5 inches), then gluing it around your napkins adds such a nice touch. If you have cloth napkins (we don’t…), it would do even nicer! Since I have a lot of darker colors in my home decor, I opted to keep my pattern light and floral.
That’s it! You could easily create one or all of these ideas in just a matter of minutes and you’ll be ready to host an amazing meal with your loved ones. Have a safe, and happy holiday!
