Hello lovelies,
Today I will show you 3 ways to use white space on layouts. I love to play with white space on my layouts, because you have so much possibilities to create a beautiful and interesting layout. All of these ways also can be used for cards, travel journal or mini books. I always started with a white paper when I create a layout and you can see above: it´s a bit plain, so we have to spice it up a little!
Tip number 1: Paint
Make some splash on your layout for a subtle background. You can use sprays, watercolor and also aquarelle color. Any paint medium you can make fluent are perfect for splashing. I love to use sprays with glitter so the layouts get a fine finish.
Tip number 2: Doodle
One of my favorite ways to use white space on layouts is doodling. My favorite pen for this is from Smash. If i need a finer line I use the multiline from Copic. Both pens have a nice and smooth tip. If you need some color you can also use brush or colored tip pens. I love to doodle when I listen to music. Doodle as it comes to you in this moment and let your creativity come out!
Tip number 3: Stamp
This idea I recently discovered for me. Use stamps to create a stunning background. You can use different motifs which fits to the theme of your layout or for example background stamps. If you need a more colorful background you can also paint outline stamps for example with aquarelle color.
Extra tip
Let your creativity run free and create your own ways to use white space on your layouts. You can combine all the 3 tips for a more individual look.
I hope you like these tips and let me in the comments below if you have any questions. If you have more ideas to use white space show us your ideas we would love to see!
See you soon
XO Nikki
