Today I am showing you a scrapbook layout I made for the past month of February about my baby.
Almost of the pictures I take from my baby are soft colours and bright sweetness. So, I knew that green pop of colour from the Drift Off collection was going to fit perfectly on my layout.
On my previous blog post I explained my basic ‘rules’ for balancing and composing a layout so, if you haven’t checked it yet, what are you waiting for? On this layout I keep the high contrast between the soft colours and brightness of the pictures and the pop of colour from the filler cards.
The full spread looks something like this:
This image shows a close-up of the green filler card with some of the embellishments scattered around.
On the contrary from my previous layout I reach the balance on my layout spreading the coordinated embellishments either from the collection or my own. Simple touches here are the key when we have a strong filler card that draws attention. I don’t like overdoing layouts and I think the simpler the more beautiful as you have to be able to ‘see’ the layout at once. After that, you can pay attention to little details but those mustn’t deviate your attention from the full spread.
And that is basically how I got to my baby’s layout for the month of February.
