Hi everyone! I’m back with another pocket page inspiration using the July featured collection, Hawaiian Paradise.
This layout is dear to my heart because it documents my honeymoon, which was spent in Kona, Hawaii. A happy coincidence for this Hawaiian Paradise collection.
I used the beautiful alpha’s that came in the kit to spell out Hawaii. Then used the little flowers to accent the words on a pocket card.
I knew this trip would be once in a lifetime, so I captured detailed notes during the entire week in a notebook. Since the rest of the spread is photo heavy, I decided to create some white space by using a plain white card and adhering the Note flag from the elements collection.
Before we move on, can we just take a moment to appreciate that on our whale watching excursion, one of the humpback whales turned to it’s side and waved at us? What a sight!
I really liked the way the note card on the left side turned out so I used the same technique here to finish up my journaling. I used the wood veneer tropical banner with the bright red geo tag. The red adds such nice contrast to all the blue and compliments those flowers on my title card nicely.
I couldn’t finish out this layout without using the State’s signature phrase, Aloha! Again, I used the white card as a base, then took the word script, water color portion and banner from the elements kit.
Adding all this white space just gives the eyes a place to rest. Since the scenery from my pictures was so spectacular, the card simplicity is almost necessary so things don’t get too crazy.
Finally, I used the papers from the kit and the word stickers to finish up my layout. I couldn’t think of a better way to end the layout then using this saying. It was an adventure, indeed!
This beautiful kit would compliment any beach spread, but if you have a Hawaiian trip that needs scrapbooked, then this kit is a definite go to!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing my wonderful honeymoon with me. I can’t wait to see what you create with this kit!
