How to Make your Own Ready-to-use Scrapbook Embellishments - Sahin Designs

Hello, everyone. Enza back today to share a fun way to use those bits and pieces of papers and embellishments that don’t make it onto a paper craft project. I have to admit, when it comes to digital collections I always print way too many elements. One of the techniques I love to use on my layouts is repetition. Multiple copies of shapes, words, digital stamps fill up my pages most of the times, but I often find myself with leftovers pieces that sit in a cute little bowl on my desk. After a bit of thinking, I decided it would be nice to have some ready-to-use embellishments and tags that I can just stick onto my next layout or project.

The collections I used are two of my favorites: Table for two and Tranquil.
I love tags and layered ephemera pieces, so that’s what I went for.

I started by adhering two tag shapes together, one slightly bigger than the other, to create some definition and make the final tag stand out more. Same concept was used for the sentiment, which has a piece of patterned paper behind it. For the flower, I used foam dots between the layers for extra dimension.

For the second tag, I added some colored twine around it and created a charm-like embellishment with sequins.

Sometimes you might have some elements that are kind of mismatched or you don’t have enough of. The best option for me is to make a banner out of them. I love how the different shapes and colors come together this way.

Finally, I have a very simple piece that I created by adhering a few elements onto a strip of paper. Again, I used foam dots for dimension and a leftover cut file for texture.

I hope you felt inspired today to use your bits and pieces of paper to make ready-to-use embellishments for your next project.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely day!
