Other projects you can do with a Halloween themed kit

Hi! Lisa here with you today to talk a little about other projects that you can use a Halloween themed kit for. I live in Sweden and althought the US trends tend to get here pretty fast mostly people with small children do Halloween here. So, as a person that doesn´t celebrate Halloween how can I use a themed kit? Well, I´ll show you two ways today, but really you can use it for many more!

First I used the All dressed up kit for a pocket page spread. I printed three of the journal cards as you can see in the above photo, they are the once on the far left. But I also cut three cards from the patterned paper pack and finally made three cards with the elements pack.

Here is a shot of the cards in the pockets. I normally put my photos in the pockets first thing, but removed them for a better photo of the cards.

When I do a hybrid pocket page spread, I also like to print a few of the elements in a kit to have on hand. Usually it is the labels and word strips that are my favorite.

For this card above, I added the “magic night” sticker to my photo before printing it!

I used a pen to change the “we” to “me” to better suit my fall outfit photo.

We have a new kitten and the sentiment “I love you so much it´s scary” applies so much to our love for him! See, perfect for more than a cute Halloween photo!

Since my pocket page spread is from late September, we had just gone to the pumpkin patch and I simply added the little word strip “little pumpkin” to the outside of my pocket with some 3D dots for dimension.

I also wanted to show you a super simple layout I made for my traveler´s notebook using the same kit. As you can see here I printed two patterned papers and just a few embellishments.

I wanted to use the papers to make strips on my background. Now, I could have gone with the good old straight strips, but wanted to make it a bit fun and used triangles.

I used the same “magic night” sticker as I did on one of my photos in my pocket page spread again on this layout, but as you can see I cropped out the “night” portion to better suit my layout. Here it is; my super simple layout about camomille reminding me of my wedding flowers, using a Halloween themed kit!
