Hi there! I’m back to show you my latest pocket layout in my project life album. For this week, I used Drift Off, a kit released a few months ago. While this kit would be amazing to use with children, the colors complimented my photos this week perfectly and I loved the final result.
While 2016 has had many fun vacations and adventures for me, this week was pretty laid back. I love that even though there was nothing specific going on, it captures our every day life in stride.
In fact, my week kicked off with goats running in front of my car on the way to work. At first, I thought it was a pack of dogs that got loose, but they were running differently than dogs do. While goats crossing the street is strange in itself, the hilarious part was that they were wearing dog collars!
Sometimes, I love adding a bit of extra embellishment to my layouts that aren’t paper. This tag from the element kit gave me a great excuse to use some string I had lying around.
One of my favorite things about this kit is the way the colors incorporate blues, greens, browns… and my favorite, pink!
I love a little white space in my layouts, so I made this card using the elements pack. I used the “Around Here” stamp and sprinkled on those adorable feathers.
I created this 4×6 green card using the kit’s paper pack and added the word art from the elements pack. That green was so pretty, I knew I had to add it in a bold way. Since I wanted to add some context to the photo (the dogs were getting a bath because they jumped in our pond…which is full of sand and mud), I just printed some extra words and snipped them out to make my own word strips.
Well, that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my layout!
See you next time!
