Hello everyone, how is your summer so far? It is a very warm one in Singapore these few days. Today I’m sharing on how I plan by summer vacation in my Traveler’s Notebook. I thought adding some digital products to decorate those pages will be a fun process. And indeed I enjoyed it a lot. Here goes!
The above page is done by printing a digital paper onto traveler’s notebook quality paper. I set my Canon printer to print on plain paper. To prevent my inkjet printer from soaking the paper, I set it to print as ‘Draft’ quality. And it turns out well! I re-adhere the paper onto the first page of the travelers notebook and added a journaling card on top of the paper.
Next, I start writing down the itinerary on the next page. Using the labels to indicate a new day, I wrote down the places I’m going to visit on each day. I also printed some digital elements on Traveler’s Notebook paper (both cream and kraft colour) to make them look like real old ephemera. On these pages, I used the digital elements from the Passport bundle.
Finally, I printed 3 Globe tags on normal cardstock for each of the city I’m visiting. I also added a brief description of the city with the help of Google. At the same time, I printed the subway map of each city to go into my Traveler’s Notebook as well (In case the internet fails me.)
That’s the end of today’s sharing. I hope you try planning your itinerary in your Traveler’s Notebook as well using some of the digital elements you have. If you have any questions please feel free to ask them in the comments and I would also love to see what you tried (if any) in your own Traveler’s Notebook :) Till next month, Ciao ~
Hi Pepper!
I enjoy your creativity! Thanks for sharing :)
When you say you print your digital paper on TN quality paper and the Globe Tags on normal card stock, what type(s) would that be? I know you’ve mentioned using Neenah White card stock 80lb in other posts.
Thanks,
Carrie
Hi Carrie,
Apologies for the late reply. I have a spare TN in which I sort of experiment layouts, test pens, watercolours, and swatch washi tape etc. I sometimes tore pages out of it. In this layout, I tore a few to print the tags on. For a ‘normal’ cardstock, I’m using both Neenah White Cardstock as well as the Epson Premium Presentation paper. My printer is able to print on any size paper, so I set it to print on my TN page of size 4.25 by 8.25 inches approximately. Hope it helps! Thanks for the kind compliments!
