Hi there! Lisa here to show you how you can be inspired by Valentine´s day decor when making scrapbooking layouts.
So I used a few different collections from the shop for this. You can use whatever collection suits your color scheme and taste of course!
I started out by cutting my banner, which I used as decor during Valentine´s day this year, shapes with my scissors. As you can see I just used super simple shapes like rectangles and triangles for this.
When I had cut it all out I cut out a mini version of the banner, this would go on my layout. I then used sewing machine to sew the banner together. I use the same machine for all my sewing, but obviously a sewing machine isn´t actually made for paper.
However I have had my machine for years and years and haven´t found that it has been effected in a negative way after using it on paper projects.
When my banners were sewed together I played a little with some embellishments. I used tags and other small pieces to add a little dimension and color to the banners.
When I made my layout in my travelers notebook I added a little piece of double sided tape to the back of the first and last banner piece. I then also added it to the inner edge piece leaving the others loose.
I then added one of my favorite quote cards from the Infinity collection to this layout that is all about me and my husbands weirdness!
This was a fun project to make, but a horrible time to photograph in this grey winter weather we are having! I hope that I will be back soon with a post with clear and bright photos again!
Once you have a chance to read the article, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the topic in the comments section below.
How did you documented your past Valentine’s day memories? Is there something specific inspired your layout?
