Hello everyone! This month, I share how I [try to] stay on track with my Project Life , by stealing time, by doing little by little when i’m on the go.
Today I’m going to talk about journaling. The app that I use to keep track of my Journaling is Evernote. Evernote is my best friend, I keep track of almost everything inside, articles, to do list, shopping list, inspirations and more.
So in my Evernote, I have this notebook titled Project Life. And in the notebook I have a note for each week of the year , titled Month 2016 Wk_ , obviously I’m not super consistent about it, but as long as I get the Month, Year and Week in, I’m good to go.
Throughout the week, I will be jotting down notes in the app. Sometimes I jot them down during my commute, sometimes when I’m waiting in the queue to pay for groceries, sometimes I journal only when I’m in bed, before I go to sleep. I’m just stealing time here and there.

Back at home, when time comes to scrapbook my week, I go into the week which consist of all the nitty gritty details of my week and skim through them. I get an idea of how I feel throughout the week. These journaling are mostly feelings, sometimes conversation, sometimes a timeline of my day. Sometimes I journal in point form. Whatever goes, right? Something is always better than nothing. Sometimes, I go through the journaling and edit them a little, usually adding some details which I missed (Well, I’m journaling in a queue, when it’s my turn, my thoughts got cut off, so I have a few paragraphs of incomplete journaling, but that’s ok. Reading the first few lines is sufficient to remind me on the feelings/events. )
I then  go to each paragraph and add a checkbox in front of them. I copy the paragraph of words and paste it onto a journaling card in Photoshop. When one part of the journaling is already in the journaling card, I add a tick to the check box. Not all journaling get into my PL (most of them do)  This helps to keep me on track.

I can’t stress enough how much this have helped me to get my words and feelings into my PL. When I first started out in 2014, I struggled with journaling, mostly only being able to describe the photo, but not knowing the intangible stuff beyond the photos . Now that I have this system in, I’m way happier 🙂
I have set Evernote shortcut on my phone such that when I swipe down, even on lock screen , I can access the Evernote button straight away! The app is always improving, now with this drawing tool within the note, I can even draw the layout of the week if I want to, and plan my pages right there. Not to mention, you can also add photos from your camera roll into the note itself.

One of my goal in 2016 is to JOURNAL EVERYDAY. I hope this inspire you to start journaling on the go. Use whatever that you’re comfortable with, be it another app, or your favourite planner. But make sure it’s convenient and easy to use. I won’t say that Evernote is the most easy to use app, it takes some time for me to get used to it, but when I’m , it totally works like miracle.
Today I also have a project to share. It is using the Bad Day collection. Here goes 🙂 Keeping track of journaling helps me to document even the “worst” days in life. This collection is perfect for me , it gave me the opportunity to document even the “not so good” and reflect then move on.
