Hello all! Wendy here to share up my first article today! I’m super excited to be on the Creative Team for Sahin Designs. I’ve always been a lover of mini books and then the Traveler’s Notebook (TN) was introduced to my life…instant synergy with my style, seriously. I love to add several photos (mini style) on a TN single or double layout spread. The more the merrier (sometimes). Ha!
So, when the “Fall is For” collection was released by Sahin Designs, I knew I wanted to create a TN double layout of many of my fall favorites.
I chose five of my favorite photos. You can definitely add more (or less). Your project, you do you. Ha! I decided to edit the photos in black and white to blend well the neutral tones of the papers. Also, any strong colors in the pictures would not distract from the papers and embellishments. The neutral palette of black and white photos keeps the nice flow to the viewer.
I use the app PicFrame to create a mini collage of my photos (depending on the desired size) to fit on a 4×6 sheet of photo paper. I use the Epson PictureMate PM400 for printing my photos. The quality of the photos along with the PicFrame app work perfectly! Give it a try!
I used the elements from the “Fall is For” collection along with snippets cut out from the pattern papers in the kit for embellishing my layout.
The pattern papers in the collection are just so perfect for Fall! I also snipped some of the words in the elements pack to create some instant and quick journaling within my layout.
And how fun is that sweater?!
Also, a bit of machine stitching gives a finishing touch to the embellishments as well. So fun!
Hope you enjoyed my project!
