Hello everyone! Enza here today to show you how you can create fast and easy cards for any occasion. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to quickly make some handmade cards to give to family and friends. I used the gorgeous Cupid collection. I love the colorful papers. You can find not only the pinks and reds you would in a classic Valentine’s collection, but also yellow and blue tones that are so unique and fun.
I used some cut files from The Cut Shoppe, but you can simply use a heart punch or dies to achieve a similar result. Both cards measure 5.25″ x 5.25″.
For my first card, I simply cut a 5″x5″ piece of patterned paper to use as a base for my cut file. I also used a beautiful bright red patterned paper to back the heart, just to give it a different look and make it stand out more. To add extra dimension, I used foam adhesive to stick it down. A few enamel hearts and a sweet banner finished the card.
Here is my second card.
I decided to cut three hearts in different sizes and hand-stitch around them. This is an extra step that you don’t actually have to do, but it sure adds a lot to the card. I then backed the hearts with different pattern papers before gluing the whole top layer to the bottom one. You can really be creative with the embellishment. I wanted to keep it simple, so I just cut out some words you can find in the Cupid collection and added silver sequins and black splatters.
That is it, friends! I hope this has inspired you today!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a lovely day!
