Hi, everyone! It had been a long time since I wrote on this blog. Time really flies, and is it really 2017 already? Before I proceed to share my project, I would like to wish everyone a very happy, scrappy and creative new year! Let’s continue to create lots of memory, document them creatively and inspire people around you to do so too!
Today I’m sharing on how I used 2 ‘winter’ collections for non-winter themed layout. As you might have already known, I’m located in Singapore, a country where in its summer all year round. Moreover, I don’t really celebrate Christmas, so at first thought, I don’t usually use these winter/Christmas collections. Nevertheless, I still love winter collections for its soft colors. You can usually see lots of whites, pastel pink and blue, stars in silver and gold color, snowflake motifs. These collections also feel kind of romantic and heartwarming.
I decide to use Fete and Winter Day collection to scrapbook a spread of a wedding day. I used the pinks, navy, black and white, with some touches of red in both collections. Phrases like ‘Worth melting for’, ‘let’s celebrate this’, ‘when we get together’ and ‘ little sparks of happiness’ are so perfect for this occasion. Because the papers and phrases are so versatile, you can even use this for a vacation spread, a romantic dinner or an anniversary dinner.
Here are some close ups of the spread.
This is the full spread. I had lots of fun putting this spread together.
Thank you for stopping by. And till next time, cheers!
